Qualification and Requirements

To be eligible to take the CSE-PPT, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Filipino Citizen: Applicants must be Filipino citizens to qualify for the examination.

  2. Age Requirement: Applicants must be at least 18 years old on the date of filing the application. It's important to note that individuals who file their application but are later found to be non-compliant with the age requirement will be disqualified from taking the test.

  3. Good Moral Character: Applicants must possess good moral character, reflecting honesty, integrity, and ethical conduct.

  4. No Criminal Convictions: Individuals must not have been convicted by final judgment of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude, disgraceful or immoral conduct, dishonesty, examination irregularity, drunkenness, or drug addiction.

  5. No Dismissals or Dishonorable Discharges: Applicants must not have been dishonorably discharged from the military service or dismissed for cause from any civilian position in the government.

  6. No Recent CSE Attempts: Applicants must not have taken the same level of Career Service Examination, either through PPT or CSC Computerized Examination (CSC COMEX), within three (3) months before the date of the examination.



Application Requirements

When applying for the CSE-PPT, applicants must submit the following documents:

  1. Fully Accomplished Application Form: Applicants must complete the appropriate CS Form No. 100.

  2. Four (4) Identical ID Pictures: The ID pictures must meet specific specifications, including being Philippine Passport size (4.5 cm x 3.5 cm), colored with a white background, and taken within three (3) months prior to the application. The pictures should be printed on good quality photo paper and show the applicant in a standard close-up shot with neutral facial expression and both eyes open. A handwritten name tag with the applicant's signature over printed full name should be legibly shown.

  3. Original and Photocopy of Accepted ID Cards: Applicants must present original and photocopy of any accepted ID card for civil service exams, such as Driver's License, Passport, PRC License, SSS ID, Voter's ID, etc.

  4. Examination Fee: A non-refundable examination fee of Five Hundred Pesos (PhP500) must be paid upon application.

Additional requirements may be needed depending on the applicant's circumstances:

  1. Birth Certificate: Original and photocopy issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority or the Local Civil Registry may be required for applicants without a date of birth on their ID cards.

  2. Identification Certificate (IC): For applicants holding dual citizenship under R.A. 9225 or recognized as citizens of the Philippines under Sec 1, Article IV of the 1987 Philippine Constitution, an IC issued by the Bureau of Immigration may be required.

Once your application is accepted, pay the test fee at the cashier, where they will also give you your examination slip.
