All things you need to know about Starmall Alabang, formerly known as "Metropolis Alabang".
During my childhood years, my parents used to bring me with my siblings to what used to be Metropolis Alabang (it's even written on PUJs until the recent years). It was one of the biggest malls in the South (of Metro Manila) along with Festival Mall which is also located in Alabang, Muntinlupa.

Today, the mall is called "Starmall Alabang" under mall giant, Vista Malls of Philippine billionaire Manny Villar.
As one of the biggest shopping hubs in the south, Starmall Alabang has seen a major, multi million peso renovation and has been refreshed with new anchor stores, digital cinemas, refurbished entertainment area, and a gleaming, more spacious open retail layout.
The mall was built in the '90s by Manuela Realty Development Corp, which was established by the grandmother-in-law of former senator, Manny Villar.
Starmalls began as Polar Mines and Development Corporation on October 16, 1969. Polar Mines became Polar Property Holdings Corporation after shifting industries from mining to real estate. It was approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in September 2004. Polar Property became Starmalls on June 22, 2012. On September 17, 2019, SEC approved the change in corporate name to Vistamalls, Inc.

History of Starmall Alabang
Starmall Alabang, formerly called Manuela Metropolis Alabang and Metropolis Star Alabang, stands on what used to be the Alabang Cemetery.

Starmall Alabang Fire
On January 8, 2022, Starmall Alabang caught fire early Saturday morning. The fire in Starmall Alabang reached the first alarm at around 3:40 am on Saturday, according to the Muntinlupa City Department of Disaster Resilience and Management.

The fire that struck Starmall Alabang in Muntinlupa City on Saturday morning was declared out on Sunday noon. The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) declared the blaze “fire out” at exactly 12:21 p.m. on Sunday, almost 33 hours after it reached the 1st alarm at around 3:43 a.m. on Saturday.
Since then, Starmall Alabang is closed as of writing.
Update for 2024
Earlier this year, observers noted ongoing demolition work at Starmall Alabang, visible from the Alabang Viaduct. The reason for the demolition remains unknown.

Starmall Prima
Starmall Prima was initially created to cater to higher-income customers and its first mall was inaugurated in Taguig in 2014. By 2015, Starmall Prima became Vista Malls.
Starmall Alabang Bus Terminal Schedule & Routes
The Starmall Alabang Bus Terminal is operating from Monday to Sunday between 06:00AM and 10:00PM. Intervals of trips for buses are every 30 minutes to 1 hour. For P2P buses, they usually offer trips every hour.
Note: Starmall Alabang Transport Terminal is now Vista Terminal Exchange (VTX)
For the jeepneys, they have frequent trips throughout the day.
