Going to Tagaytay? Discover why Tagaytay is a favorite weekend destination for local travelers, especially those from the capital Manila.
In this guide, I list Instagrammable places and best things to do for your next weekend trip in Tagaytay, a perfect itinerary for your staycation in the South!
Tagaytay City is always on top of the list of weekend destinations for city dwellers. It's known for its stunning views, gastronomic food trips, and family-friendly activities.
If you are staying in Tagaytay for a night and want easy visual access to this stunning natural backdrop throughout your stay, here are some of the hotels with a great view:
While the nuns are often called ‘Pink Sisters’ because of their pink habit, they are officially part of the Sister Servants of the Holy Spirit of Perpetual Adoration, an institute of cloistered or enclosed nuns who follows a solemn vow to strictly separate themselves from the outside world.
It has actually become one of the rising weekend destinations in Tagaytay. Two of its most popular attractions are NAPA and Ruined Project. NAPA took inspiration from the wine region of Napa Valley in California. While The Ruined Project? was supposed to be the 50th store of the more established sister café, The Coffee Project.
At Queens Strawberry Farm visitors can also learn rod fishing or simply feed the fish within the vicinity. The farm also functions as a bed-and-breakfast place and events venue. But its mostly known for having a restaurant with a very Insta-worthy A-frame building and for serving strawberry-flavored food, from its salads to breakfast to desserts to drinks.
Despite being just 2-3 hours away from the Philippines’ capital, Manila, Tagaytay has cooler weather. It has an average lowest temperature of 18.8 °C (65.84 °F) compared to other parts of the Philippines with an average lowest of 26.6 °C (79.9 °F). This is why Tagaytay has been one of the popular day trip destinations in Manila. Those who want to extend their stay will find many options when it comes to Tagaytay hotels.
For DIY itinerary, budget and detailed guide, I have written Tagaytay City Guide on a separate blog.
