The Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority on Thursday announced that domestic flights of the Cebu Pacific Air and Cebgo will be transferred to Terminal 1 (T1), citing the need to manage the significant increase in passenger traffic.
In a statement, Edilyth Maribojoc, communications officer for GMR Megawide Cebu Airport Corporation’s corporate affairs and branding, said the new location for servicing of Cebu Pacific and Cebgo flights will take effect on June 16.

The airport management, she said, decided to transfer the flight servicing as MCIA “experiences a significant traffic growth, with domestic demand now at 52 percent of pre-pandemic levels”.
In 2019, at its peak, MCIA saw a daily average of 25,743 domestic passengers.
Maribojoc said Cebu Pacific Air and Cebgo flights departing before 23:59 of June 15 will still depart from T2.
“All other domestic departures, such as Philippine Airlines/PAL Express, AirAsia, and AirSwift, will continue in T2 until further notice,” she noted.
