Here is a short list of the documents that you have to prepare in opening a savings account in Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI).

With regards to the BPI savings account requirements, like in other account types that the bank offers, here is a short list of the document(s) that you have to prepare:

1. Proof of billing

2. Client may submit only one (1) of the following IDs:

For Filipino citizens, photo-bearing and unexpired identification documents:

PhilID
Identification documents issued by the Government of the Republic of the Philippines including Its political subdivisions, agencies and instrumentalities
Other identification documents that can be verified using reliable, independent source documents, data or information

For Filipino students:

PhilID
School lD signed by the school principal or head of the educational institution
Birth Certificate issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority

For foreign nationals:

PhilID for resident aliens
Passport
Alien Certificate of Registration issued by the Bureau of Immigration
Other identification documents that can be verified using reliable, independent source documents, data or information

The account types offered by the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) may vary when it comes to the initial deposit required.

For the savings account which is formerly known as BPI Easy Savers and now BPI Kaya Savings, you will have to prepare at least Php 200.00 in opening the account. It is the set initial deposit for this kind of account.
