It’s three weeks to election, and we all know BBM will win very very very easily—this is a done deal—if nothing major happens between then and now.
The crowd size in rallies, the caravans, the surveys, the Kalye interviews, the general sentiment on social media. In 2016, we knew Duterte would win but it wasn’t like this. There was still some uncertainty up until that massive Miting de Avance.
Marcos is such a sure winner that Leni should throw in the towel and save the campaign money for projects in the future to benefit fellow Filipinos (what I would do if I were her)
In elections, it has never mattered what the AB class wants (even if surveys do show that even this class prefer BBM), whatever the CDE decides, they’ll get (at least during elections.)
As someone who isn’t a BBM supporter, let me share with you why someone like BBM, full of baggage, is still the frontrunner.
Iniisip nila—fine ayaw niyo si Leni, pero bakit hindi si Ping, who is more experienced? Why not Isko, whose baggage is smaller and who is backed by the neutrals? Why not Manny, who is not corrupt.

Aside from the Marcos loyalists who support BBM—there are many —there are a great many more who aren’t but will vote Marcos. So why is the number overwhelmingly for Marcos?

This is the simple truth and this was your greatest mistake. This is the most glaring of all your faults na hindi nyo na re realize.
You fielded someone more unlikable, more hated than the son of a dictator whose family was widely believed to have stolen from the coffers of the country.
Many will vote BBM for his father, but many more will vote BBM DESPITE his father.
Congratulations, Opposition, you chose the one person more hated and more unliked than a dictator’s “jobless” son who you say is under educated.
This isn’t an opinion. This is an observation backed by numbers. The latest SWS survey, which is also echoed by other survey firms, show that Leni Robredo has the lowest trust and satisfaction rating among all government officials.
In a March 2022 released survey, only two months before elections, Leni Robredo recorded the biggest drop in satisfaction rating by SWS.

Her dissatisfaction rating is at 40 percent.
Coincidence ba na BBM’s surveys are at nearly 60 percent?
In the latest Publicus survey, PRRD—the stariray of this show—has a 68 percent approval rating. An overwhelming majority of those who like PRRD dislike the Max Alvarado/Paquito Diaz
of his administration—Leni Robredo.
Robredo also earned the highest Total Disapproval and Total Low Trust ratings among the top five government officials according to Publicus with 42.2 percent of respondents saying they “disapprove” or “strongly disapprove” of the Vice President’s performance over the past twelve months. Almost half of all respondents or 48.2 percent said they put “no trust” or “low trust” in Robredo.
Those who love or at least like PRRD will never vote the Paquito Diaz of his admin—so is it a coincidence that Leni gets 20-ish percent in surveys?
How stupid can the Opposition be to choose someone that most Filipinos distrust?

This: The Robredo camp has been asking candidates to drop out to ensure that Marcos doesn’t win. She’s looking at the wrong people to back out.
Leni should face the mirror. It’s her that people do not like.
Forced to choose between her and Marcos, neutrals who dislike both of them are forced to choose BBM. Because let me reiterate—the Opposition fielded the one person the majority dislikes.
There is a distaste for Leni that is commensurate for the love and appreciation for PRRD. And the appreciation for PRRD is at record high—which means the distaste for Leni is at record high too.
It’s not just the Marcos magic, it’s also the PRRD magic. Doesn’t matter what PRRD said about BBM—for 6 years, Leni Robredo and her team of Twitter keyboard warriors did their best and worst to oust Duterte.
And for many, it’s payback time.
Had the Opposition backed Pnoy-loving Ping Lacson for example, many neutrals would not choose BBM because Ping isn’t generally hated.
But why is Ping showing lower numbers than Leni now? Only because the people have seen the futility of choosing anyone else.
The proxy war of Aquino-Marcos is in full display, as well as the more recent narrative of cheating allegations between BBM and Robredo.
But if there were no narratives, no proxy war, somebody like Ping would be the worthy opponent of Marcos.

In short, for a real chance at upending this Marcos momentum, Robredo should back out now.

All evidence points to her being the reason why Marcos will win. If she really doesn’t want Marcos to win, she should just drop out of the race, and don’t recommend anyone because her recommendation is like a kiss of death. (Or she can recommend BBM if she’s petty.)

To Leni’s supporters who are rabidly anti Marcos, just letting you know she’s the reason why BBM will win.
If you don’t want that to happen, then ask her to back out.
