Netizens are reacting to the news. Many are stunned and appreciated the outcome of the project.

The Manila Bay beach nourishment has been a hot topic on social media the past 2 weeks because of the sand used is 'dolomite' which many claims that it is harmful for the environment and for the people. However, DENR along with DILG, contradict that claim.

Manila Mayor Francisco ‘Isko’ Domagoso shows his support to the project and believes on what DENR is doing.

On his interview with Karen Davila, the Manila Mayor said, “two years ago pa ito e. Hindi ito nasimulan nang isang linggo, isang buwan o nung January, this is two years ago, so it didn’t happen overnight. It’s just that your attention or some other individuals’ attention was called when it is white sand. But what if it is black sand?”
