BICUTAN FOOTBRIDGE RENOVATION
The Bicutan Footbridge, which connects the cities of Taguig and Parañaque, is now closed for renovation that will reportedly take four months, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced on Sunday (September 6).The bridge is one of the oldest footbridges built by MMDA. Before the pandemic, about 500,000 pedestrian used the footbridge, according to Assistant Secretary Celine Pialago, MMDA spokesperson.

“This footbridge is really very important because it is located in the boundary of Taguig and Parañaque. Its renovation started today,” she said over radio DZBB.
PEDESTRIAN FRIENDLY
“We are strengthening the footbridge and making it more pedestrian friendly. We are also making it more beautiful,” she added.The footbridge is almost 2 decades old now looks old, rusty and has craters on it.
