Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto pinapayagang bumyahe ang mga tricycle

Ito ay sa kabila ng pagbawal na bumyahe ang anumang public utility transportation.

Isa ang Pasig sa mga siyudad na bumubuo sa Metro Manila o NCR na ngayon ay nasa ilalim ng "community quarantine" o lockdown dahil sa na pagkalat ng COVID-19 hindi lang sa rehiyon pati sa ibang parte ng bansa.

Ito ay alinsunod sa anunsyo ng pamahalaan ng Pilipinas na total ban on all forms of public transportation kung saan bawal ng bumyahe ang anumang tren, bus, jeepney, taxi at iba pang pampublikong sasakyan.

Dahil dito hirap ang mga nakararaming bumyahe sa trabaho at sa pagbili ng mga pangangailangan.

Pero isang anunsyo ang ibinahagi ng Pasig mayor sa kanyang nasasakupan.

Nakasaad dito na pinapayagan niyang bumyahe ang mga tricycle basta susundin pa rin ng mga ito ang "social distancing" kung saan hanggang 3 pasahero lamang ang pwede nilang isakay kada byahe.

Kung di natin sila papayagang magtaas sa gitna ng health crisis na ito, wala na pong bibiyahe na tricycle... dahil maximum na 3 na lang ang sakay nila (social disancing).

Umapela din siya sa mga Pasigueno na unawain ang mas mataas na singil ng mga tricycle driver dahil mas kokonti ang kinikita ng mga ito ngayong may krisis.

IN SUMMARY: Luzon Enhanced Community Quarantine

Maawa naman tayo kung sa 8hrs na biyahe, 50 pesos lang kikitain nila.

Nakikipag-ugnayan kami at pumayag na ang karamihan ng TODA na hanggang 1.5x na lang ng pamasahe imbis na 2x ang sisingilin nila.

Kasunod nito ang buong update o memorandum ng siyudad alinsunod sa "enhanced community quarantine" sa buong Luzon na inanunsyo kamakailan ng Pangulong Duterte.

PASIG UPDATE FOLLOWING THE LATEST MEMORANDUM FROM THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT, REGARDING THE "COMMUNITY QUARANTINE OVER LUZON" (DATED 16 MARCH 2020)

1. Classes and all school activities still suspended.

2. Mass gatherings still prohibited (including basketball).

3. Strict HOME QUARANTINE FOR ALL:
- Movement only allowed to access basic necessities such as food and health services;

4. Work from Home arrangement in the Executive Branch
- LGU will comply with this. Skeletal workforce only EXCEPT for mayor’s office, city admin, DRRMO, CHO/hospitals, sanitation, SWMO, CSWD, and peace & order offices.
- City Hall will remain open Monday to Friday, but with limited services.
- Earlier, I signed an E.O. for the 2-day workweek for all employees (with City Hall open from Mon to Fri)
- I WILL ISSUE A NEW E.O. THIS MORNING (Tuesday, 17 March 2020) TO CLARIFY OUR PERSONNEL DEPLOYMENT SCHEDULE AND WORK-FROM-HOME GUIDELINES.

5. PRIVATE ESTABLISHMENTS shall be CLOSED, EXCEPT:
- Those providing basic necessities, including the Mega Market, supermarkets, groceries, convenience stores, drugstores, medical services, banks, power, water, and telecoms.
- BPOs may operate, provided they have proper social distancing measures and they provide temporary accommodations by March 18.
- Media allowed (with PCOO ID)
- Security personnel allowed

6. PUBLIC TRANSPORT facilities suspended.
- However, we will allow some TRICYCLES, in consideration of emergency situations and those transporting essential personnel.
- TORO will release the guidelines tomorrow (Tuesday, March 17).

7. Land, air, and sea travel restricted.
- Delivery of essential goods will be allowed.
