Pasig City to give 400,000 food packs to its residents

Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto announced that the Pasig LGU is about to give food packs to the quarantine-affected families in his city.

Sa kasalukuyan ay inihahanda na namin ang Purchase Request para sa 400,000 food packs.

He mentioned the above plan on his social media accounts on Wednesday.

He honestly admitted that it would be hard unlike the planned "pamaskong handog", it might need faster logistics because of the urgency of the need of his people.

Hindi magiging madali ang logistics nito. Wala na po tayong panahon para mag-organisa katulad nung pamaskong handog. Hihingi ang lungsod ng tulong sa mga pamahalaan pambarangay para sa distribusyon.

The packs approximately cost P397 each with a total of P158M emergency procurement will be taken out of the city's budget.

Tulong po ito ng lokal na pamahalaan sa mga nangangailangan, lalo na't maraming di nakakapagtrabaho ngayong #communityQuarantine. Magtulungan po tayo at sumunod sa quarantine para mas mabilis din nating malagpasan ito.

The packs are expcted to be delivered with the help of the city's barangays by the end of the week.
