The four new sections stretch from the Iloilo Bridge to Muelle Loney Street, overlooking the Iloilo River.
In total, the Iloilo River Esplanade, regarded as the longest linear park in the Philippines, measures 8.1 kilometers in length.
The first phase, which covers 1.2 kilometers, from Sen. Benigno Aquino Jr. Avenue to Carpenter’s Bridge in Mandurriao district, was launched in August 2012.
The Iloilo River Esplanade has been hailed "Haligi ng Dangal" awardee for Best Landscape Architecture by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) through the National Committee on Architecture and the Allied Arts.
