ABOUT VILLA JOVITA

Dubbed as the “Bali of Batangas”, Villa Jovita Resort has become a favorite spot over the years for every Filipino who wish to “go out” of the country without the need to have passports and expensive airplanes tickets.

Just a 2-3 hours drive from the metro, this resort in Agoncillo in Batangas would let you experience a getaway in nature and bring you to Bali, Indonesia and Hobbiton in New Zealand!

POOL WITH NO CHLORINE

Unlike other resorts which showcases beach and sea side, Villa Jovita has swimming pool and access to river. One can swim on selected small part of a river.

Since river has varying depth, other areas of the river are restricted or not endorsed to public due to security concern. Anyway, the resort provides a long relaxing view of the river.

The resort offers cottages, room, and tent for accommodation. The place is small and it can easily be overcrowded by visitors especially during peak season. There's more than one swimming pool but all of them are small.

Villa Jovita is popular for giving us a glimpse of Bali in Indonesia with its lush greenery and overlooking fields.

There are several spots in this corner: giant nests and the iconic Bali Swing, which they call the Batangas Swing.

HOBBITON

The pandemic had Villa Jovita’s services come to a halt but that didn’t stop them from developing their already picturesque space.

Constructed in 2020, their version of The Lord of the Rings’ Hobbiton is the latest addition to the resort and it’s a spot that fans shouldn’t miss.

HOW TO GET TO VILLA JOVITA

If you are going using a private vehicle, you can use Waze or Google Maps for detailed directions. If you don’t have a private vehicle, you can rent a car or van here. Please see the map below:

For those who are commuting using PUVs, take a bus ride (DLTB) from Buendia Bus Terminal bound to Lemery. (Travel Time = 3 Hours, Fare = P178)

Drop off the bus terminal in front of Xentro Mall. Take a tricycle beside the mall and tell the driver to drop you off at Villa Jovita Resort. (Travel Time = 30 Minutes, Fare = P50-P80, depending on your haggling skills)

If you want to spend less, take a jeepney bound to Agoncillo and tell the driver to drop you off at Villa Jovita Resort. Walk a few meters and you’ll see the entrance.
