The day we went here was a bit rainy and very dark, given it was about to hit 6 o'clock in the evening after we tour around Pagudpud. It was very challenging for us to take a decent photos.
It was our last destination for that day. Plus, we were in a hurry since we the tricycle we rented is already overtime.
These photos are taken in 2013 using my old digicam during my second visit in Ilocos Norte together with Team Basti.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) About Patapat Viaduct
- Why Patapat bridge is famous?
Patapat Viaduct became a tourist attraction because it offers a majestic view of Pasaleng Bay. On a very clear day, the islands of Fuga and Calayan are visible to the naked eye. During the rainy days it shows its splendor with its water dropping rhythmically to a precipice on the rocky shore of the sea below. - Who built Patapat Viaduct?
The viaduct was constructed by Hanil Development Co. Ltd. under the overall management of DPWH-PMO-PJHK and was completed and opened to traffic in October 1986. It rises along the town's coastal mountains, which is the starting point of the Cordillera Mountain Range that snakes through Northern Luzon. - Why is it called a viaduct?
The term viaduct is derived from the Latin via meaning "road", and ducere meaning "to lead". It is a 19th-century derivation from an analogy with ancient Roman aqueducts. Like the Roman aqueducts, many early viaducts comprised a series of arches of roughly equal length.
